Problems with REDW in 4.6xx - A4000007 - 5 Jan 2000
In 4.6xx there are some limitations with the Redirect facility which can make
it a little hard to create redirect files. The two main problems are as follows:
-
Mouse clicks and other navigation using the mouse are not recorded at all. When
creating a redirect file you must not use the mouse.
-
There are various places where the space bar does not get recorded either. In
particular you cannot use the space bar to set the value of a checkbox field,
or press a button. However a space bar added to a redirect file manually will
be played back correctly, at least for checkboxes.
The easiest way to set checkboxes for a 4.6xx redirect file is to use the - and
+ keys. You can use - to clear a checkbox, and + to set it. These keys also
have the adavantage that they are not toggles, so that the checkbox will
definitely be set to the value you want.
