A QAB program that uses downdate totalling to total into a database field will not work correctly if compiled with 4.520 (1) PROGCOMP or 4.616 (1) PROGCOMP - the totalling is treated as an update total.
There is a workaround using the existing PROGCOMP: Compile with the -compatible command tail. (However this is no good if you want to run non Intel versions of PROGRUN)
19 March 2001 The fix posted for this bug introduced another bug (or rather there was a bug waiting to happen that the first bug hid). From 4.520 (5) and 4.616 (5) PROGCOMP no longer refreshed totalled fields on screen. Using the -compatible command tail is also a work around for this bug.
Where the version affected is given as 4.5xx or 4.6xx, all versions of DP4 issued prior to the date of the fix are potentially affected. Where a specific version number is given the problem was introduced by that release and prior releases are unaffected. If a patch release number is also specified (in parentheses) , the fault was introduced at that specific patch level.
