This section describes the functions held in the standard DP4 C library, <xx>own<y><.ZZZ>. The functions are ordered by their 4.500 names and presented in a template format.
To provide a more logical naming scheme, most functions were given new names in release 4.500. Function names in general consist of a prefix which is common to functions in the same family. For example, the functions which use maps have names beginning with map_.
If you are familiar with the old, pre-4.500 names, you can still use them to refer to functions. The header file DP4.H has defines for the old names. In this help system, refer to Appendix 2 which lists the pre-4.500 names with the new names.
