How to Use the Guide to DP4 Configuration

This guide contains detailed information on DP4 configuration.

The What's New page is a summary of recent changes to this document. This will usually be a good place to see what has changed in the latest release of DP4.

The Introduction contains information on what the DP4 configuration files are, where they live, advice on how to go about changing them, and tells you how you can specify configuration options on the command line instead of by editing the configuration file.

The Configuration Utilities section describes the DP4 utilities used to set Configuration information other than that held in the main DP4 configuration file. Much of the information there consists of links to other DP4 manuals.

The Background Information section contains a number of pages that give an overview of complex matters such as Security and changing the appearance and position of programs from the configuration file.
