detect_crystal_reports=1

If set to 1 the DP4 ODBC driver will report time fields as having a character type if it detects the client program is Crystal Reports. Early versions of Crystal Reports could not use the DP4 time datatype.

This work-around is unnecessary from version 6 of Crystal Reports and may not work properly with version 8. You can set it to 0 if necessary. See A4000011 on the DP4 User group for further information.
