touch_calendar

[TRMW]
touch_calendar=0

touch_calendar=1 changes the user interface of the DP4 calendar control (introduced into 4.623 versions of trmw32.dll and trmwce.dll built on or after 7th November 2007). With the default setting (touch_calendar=0) the user has to select a date by clicking on the day of the month, and the selection does not follow the mouse. If touch_calendar=1 is set, the selection follows the mouse (similar to the behaviour in an ordinary pull-down menu or pop-up window). The latter behaviour is probably preferable on machines with a touch-screen. Some users may prefer this behaviour in any case. However, if you use this setting on screens with an ordinary mouse attached, it is possible that the day of the month will sometimes be unintentionally changed.

For example, if the user selects a particular day of the month, and then realises that the month is wrong, and if they then use the mouse to click on one of the buttons to change the displayed month the user will very likely find that the day of the month has also changed, because the mouse has probably moved over another day field to reach the button that was used to change the month. If the change to the day is not noticed the user may enter unintended data.
