x_factor

[TRMW]
x_factor=calculated number

From 4.616 you can specify values for x_factor and y_factor in the DP4 configuration file. The only time you would be likely to need to do this is if you wanted to use a default font that was slightly smaller than your desired x_factor and y_factor.

The default x_factor is the maximum of the following values for the default font:

From 4.616 this deafult value may be modified if isometric=1.

See Coordinate system for full explanation of use.

Between 4.616 and 4.620 this option was also used by DFPRINT. This caused problems for users who used x_factor and y_factor to make screens designed for VGA resolution run full size on SVGA or XGA resolution screens. From 4.620 the x_factor for printing with dfprint is set separately using dfprint_x_factor.

If you use x_factor or y_factor to make your screens bigger or smaller, then controls that use a non default font may use a font that is too small or too big. From 4.620 you can control font sizes at run time using the new x_inch and y_inch settings.

In 4.623 builds dated on or after 10 July 2006 you can specify floating point values for x_factor.
