Backing up the Database

Make sure you have diskettes disks available with sufficient free space for a backup of your database:

1. On the DP4 System Main menu, select option 3 - Backup recovery

2. Select option 1 - Backup database

3. Specify the database name, and load the disks as prompted. If 'transaction logging' is selected in your system configuration, you are prompted for a separate disk to store the transaction log.
