Changing the Database

It is not normally necessary to change the database for a new language. However, there are two possible exceptions:

• Field headings

  These are used by the DP4 utilities such as Report Writer, the Data Entry and Enquiry utility and the Automatic Program Generation utility.

• Country-dependent fields

  For example, currency fields (Lire, Francs), description fields such as ITEM in a POS system.
