Changing the Database Headings

To change the names of table and field headings on the database:

1. On the DP4 System menu, select the Database Management option.

2. On the Database Structure Management menu, select the Create/modify database option.

3. Enter the database name and press <Enter>. The Database Creation/Changes menu is displayed.

4. Select option 1 - Headings.

5. Enter the number of the new language (other than language 0) into which you wish to translate the headings.

6. Enter the name of the table to which the headings relate. The Table/Field Heading menu is displayed.

7. Select option 1 - Table heading to amend the table heading. The table heading is shown for language 0 and the language you are amending. The Edit/Use Language Heading menu is also displayed.

8. Select option 1 - Edit heading to move to the heading field for the language. The language 0 heading is displayed as a default.

9. Press <Tab> to complete the field (SAA users press <Enter>). You are returned to the Table/Field Heading menu.

10. Select option 2 - Field headings. A list of field headings is displayed for language 0 and the language you are amending.

11. Move the cursor keys to select the field heading you want to amend, and press <Enter>. The Edit/Use Language menu is displayed.

12. Select option 1 - Edit heading to move to the heading field for the language. The language 0 heading is displayed as a default.

13. Enter the new heading.

14. Press <Tab> to complete the field (SAA users press <Enter>).

15. Press <Esc> when you have finished amending the field headings.

16. On the Table/Field Heading menu, select option 8 - Exit.

17. On the Save/Abandon menu, select option 1 - Save Changes.

18. Press <Esc> several times to return to the Main menu.
