Changing the User Language Preferences

The user language preferences initially default to those on the language table. If you wish to vary the language preferences for a specific user, follow the steps in this section.

The user language preferences are stored in the user list on the System database. When users log onto menu systems or run application programs that use the logon facility, their user preferences are read, and the language preferences take effect.

Either:

• Log onto the application menu as the user and run the option that executes the %PREFERENCES command. The User Preferences menu is displayed
  
  

  Or, to change the language preferences from within the DP4 System menus:

  • Log onto the DP4 System menu as the user
  • Select Configuration Options. The System and User Setup Options menu is displayed
  • Select option 3 - User preferences. The User Preferences menu is displayed
    
    

  • Select option 1 - Date and time input/display and modify the language-dependent parts

  • Select option 2 - Number/character/menu input/display to select the 'Yes' and 'No' words for the user
