Defining the Line Processing

Defining the line types involves specifying the data to be imported. This procedure depends on whether each line in the import file has the same fields:

• If each line in the import file has the same fields, you need to:

  • Define the tables to be imported. (See Defining Import Tables )
  • Define the fields to be imported. (See Defining Import Fields )
    
    

• If each line in the import file has different fields, you need to:

  • Define the field groups. (See Defining Field Groups )
  • Define the tables and the fields to be imported for the field group as above.
