The database reorganisation utility also allows you to delete application data from the database. This option does not delete mapsets, menus or parameter sets.
On the DP4 System menu, select the Run program option, type the
command:
REORGDB -DELETE
and press <Enter> to execute it
Select the database
Select option 7 - Delete application data from the Database Reorganisation Facilities menu:

You are asked whether you want to delete the data from all tables:

Answering 'No' allows you to select particular tables:

You are asked whether you want all the selected tables to be marked as remote. This question is only applicable when your system has a remote database manager:

Answering 'Yes' forces database applications to look on remote machines for the data you are going to delete
You must now confirm whether you want to delete the data after all:

DP4 reorganises the database omitting data from the selected tables and displays a message for each stage of the reorganisation. There are two main stages:
When the reorganisation utility terminates, press <Enter> to return to the DP4 System menu. Back up the database, using one of the methods described earlier
Your options for recovering from a crash while this option is running are the same as when you use option 3, Rebuild Data and Index files.
