Setting Up Importer Programs

This section describes how to set up an Importer program. To start editing an Importer Program proceed as follows:

1. Importer programs are created using IMPSETUP. To access this via the DP4 menu, select Import/Export and Reporting and then Importer Setup and Utilities, or for releases prior to 4.621 select Other facilities, then Importer facilities option and finally select the Setup and utilities option.

2. Enter the name of the target database. The Importer Setup screen appears.

3. On the Edit menu, select option 1 - Program editing.

4. Enter the name of the program on which you want to work and press <Enter>. <Ctrl+P> gives a list of existing import programs from which to select. The Importer Program Editing menu appears.
