A common requirement when you work with databases is to import information into them and export it from them. This information might be data to populate application tables or it might be the tables themselves; that is, structural information to create or update field and table definitions on the database. DP4 supports three different methods for transferring information, although there is some overlap between them. This gives you the flexibility to opt for a means of transfer that exactly matches your purpose.
You can import data from many different sources, including spreadsheets, word-processed reports, non-DP4 files and, of course, other DP4 databases.
