The multi-language facility helps you to maintain databases containing maps from multiple languages. You enable this facility, from the command line, like this:
MAPMAKE -MULTILANGUAGE
Alternatively, you can enable the option for Multi-language operation within Option 0 - Options on the first menu of MAPMAKE.
The multi-language facility, extends the scope of MAPEDIT facilities:
Deleting, printing, or copying maps is performed for maps from all languages, not just those from the current language.
The change file option, which prints out all the maps on the current database which are missing or different on the named database, does the comparison for each language, not just the current language.
In Multi-language mode, it is not possible to copy a map from one language to another. However the Map Editor will allow you to open a map in one language and save it to anothere.
