Using the Windows Interface

In Windows, you can use the mouse to perform actions in place of some keystrokes. For example, single-click on a field to move directly to it and double-click to select an option. Push buttons entitled OK and Cancel have the same action as the <Enter> and <Esc> keys.

DP4 utilities prompt for the database name when you run them. The window below, which lists the databases on your system and allows you to choose one, should be familiar to experienced Windows users.

To select the database, either type its name or click on a name in the database list.

To select a database and enter the application, double-click on a database name.

If there are more databases than can fit in the database list, drag the slider down to view them. (Drag means hold down the left mouse button while moving the mouse.)

To exit to the previous screen, click on the Cancel button.
