The DP4 menu editor enables you to enter a specialised map that is displayed as a popup menu. The options can do either of the following:
You can specify the command to run a DP4 application program, written in C, QA Build, Report Writer or SQL, one of the DP4 utilities, or any other program installed on the computer.
You can select from a range of DP4 commands to log on, log off, lock up the screen until the user returns, change the user preferences and return to the operating system, or move to an another page of the menu.
For each menu option, you can specify a set of parameters. You can also popup an entry window to prompt the user to enter parameters, such as the name of the file to edit.
For example, to run a QA Build program, you would enter the database name and the name of the program in this format:
PROGRUN -DB <database name> -PROG <program name>You can specify a default option that is highlighted when the user returns to the menu.
