The Align command in the Options menu provides options for aligning controls, spacing controls equally from one another and making controls the same size.
The align options work by surrounding all the selected controls with a box and aligning all the controls with respect to that box.To align controls:
Select the controls to be aligned (as described in Selecting Controls).
Select Align from the Options menu or click the appropriate Tool bar icon or accelerator keys.
If you selected the Align command, a secondary menu appears, giving several options to align controls with one another, each of which is described below.
The images below show a map prior to being aligned and the effect of each of the align options in turn together with the toolbar icon and accelerator that has the same effect.

In previous versions of the Map Editor the Horizonal and Vertical Centre options were interchanged. They have been changed in line with other products.
