Copying a Map

Before copying a map, open the source database and, if copying to a different database, the target database. The source map may be open, but must not have unsaved changes (because they will not be copied); if the target map is already being edited it will be overwritten.

To copy a map:

1. Select Copy Map from the File menu. The Copy Map dialog appears:

   

2. Fill in the top part of the dialog, specifying the source database, language, mapset and map number, then the target details in the bottom part. (The target map need not already exist, but if it does you will be asked to confirm whether you want to overwrite it.) Click OK. The map is copied to its new location.
