Formatting Booleans

The Data dialog Boolean fields contains the following fields:

Use default values

Enable this to accept the default formatting values for the field. These are derived from the user preferences

Switch Yes/No

Enable this to switch the yes and no words for the Boolean field. If you do this, yes returns the no value and no returns the yes value. This might seem strange, but it allows you to rephrase associated questions without reprogramming. For example, you could enable Switch Yes/No to rephrase "Quit without saving?" as "Save file before quitting?"

Use default Yes No Values

The Yes No words can only be set for non database fields.

Leave this checkbox enabled to use the Default Yes No words for the current language. Clear the checkbox to set the Yes and No words.

No Value/Yes Value

For non-database fields, enter up to 8 characters for the word for "Yes" and word for "No", for example, "Positive" and "Negative" or "Oui" and "Non"
