Opening a Map

If you know exactly what map you want to work on you can open just one map from a mapset:

1. Select Open Map from the File menu or click the Open icon on the Tool bar. The Open Map dialog appears.

   

2. Fill in the dialog, specifying the database, mapset,language and map number. Click OK. A Map Editing window displaying the map appears, unless a window is already open for the selected map, in which case that window is activated.

You can have multiple maps open at the same time.
