Opening a Menu

To open a menu:

1. Select Open Menu from the File menu; the Open Menu dialog appears.

   

2. Fill in the dialog, specifying the database, mapset, language and menu number.

   Although menus are really just maps, initially the menu combo box will only display maps that have been created as menus. If you check the "All Maps" checkbox the combo box will display all the maps in the mapset. This allows existing maps to be converted to menus.

3. When you have slected the appropriate menu click OK. A Menu Editing window displaying the menu appears. If the menu is already being edited as an ordinary map the menu editor will not be opened, but the existing Map Editing window will be re-activated. You should close any map editing window for a map if you decide you want to edit that map as a menu instead.
