Positioning Controls by Specifying their Co-ordinates

You can explicitly position controls by specifying their X and Y co-ordinates, in the current units (DP4 units or pixels). The co-ordinates are measured from the top-left corner of the map and indicate the position of the top-left corner of the control.

1. Select Control List from the Edit menu. The Control List dialog appears, listing all the controls in the current map, with their field numbers, types, positions and sizes.

   

2. In the list, highlight the desired control and click Move. The Change Control Position dialog appears.

   

3. Specify the new horizontal (X co-ordinate) and vertical (Y co-ordinate) positions, then click OK to return to the Map editing window.
