Specifying Access Levels

In 4.603, the program will terminate at runtime if the user attempts to display a map or use a control to which they do not have access.

All users have read and write access levels in the range 1 to 99, where 99 is the highest level permitting unrestricted access. The Access group allows you to set the minimum access levels required for the user to view (read) or modify (write) the map and each of its control. The following tables give some examples that show how access levels work:

To change the default access levels for the map:

1. Activate the Map Properties dialog

2. Click the Access button at the top of the dialog

3. Edit the read and write access levels and click OK

To specify the access to a control:

1. Activate the Control's dialog

2. Click the Access button at the top of the dialog

3. Edit the read and write access levels and click OK
