The colouring facility within the Map Editor allows maps and controls to be coloured to suit your user interface conventions, whatever they may be. It does this by allowing controls to share Colour Schemes . On the Windows platforms the default colour schemes match the usual Windows User Interface conventions.
The Map Editor's colouring facility has two main components:
Colour Scheme Editor Accessed through the Colour Scheme Editor option on the Options menu, this editor allows you to create and modify colour schemes for controls and the map. You might, for example, use it to set up a colour scheme called Rosy Buttons for buttons whose faces you want to colour rose. The Colour Scheme editor is descibed here.
Colour Property Page Accessed by clicking the Colour tab in the control's properties, the Colour page allows you to select a colour scheme to be applied to the control from a list of available colour schemes as described below.
At least one colour scheme is provided for each control type. Using the colour scheme editor, you can create any colour schemes you like, either completely from scratch or if just a little customisation of an existing scheme is required, you can use that as the basis for a new scheme.
Assuming that more than the default colour scheme is available for the control, to select a different colour scheme for it:
In the Control's property dialog, click the Colour tab; the Colour property dialog appears
In the Colour Scheme list, select the desired colour scheme. Click OK to return to the Editing Window
To create or edit new colour schemes for a control select the control and then press F7 or select Colour Scheme Editor from the options menu to open the Colour Scheme Editor .
