15 May 2008 New variables: added QERROR_TEXT1 and QERROR_TEXT2 to standard variable reference.
16 Jul 2007 New variable added QEXIT_CODE to standard variable reference.
11 Apr 2007 Extra information added to the Print Control Variables page.
7 Jun 2005 Added QPR_DEVICE to standard variable reference. This variable allows you to control the printer to be used by QAB programmatically.

20 Oct 2004 Added QSHOW_DISABLED to standard variable reference. This variable allows you to improve the user interface of a QAB program by indicating a field is disabled.
20 July 2004 Documentation of operator precedences corrected.
7 May 2004 Documentation of READ_TAIL and READ_TOGGLE corrected. Added QPICK_FLAGS to standard variable reference.
19 Aug 2003 New standard variable qsmart_position introduced. Set this variable TRUE for better handling of Windows access using a non unique secondary index.

14 Feb 2003 This manual has now been extensively revised, though the work is not yet complete. The portions of the manual dealing with editing QAB have been rearranged and largely rewritten.
