Report Writer User Interface

Report Writer is implemented using the standard user interface. Each question Report Writer asks has a help message. Report Writer always suggests a sensible default to you. If you are unsure how to answer a question, you may accept the default with confidence.

<Enter>	<Tab>	Accepts the entry in a field
<Tab>	<Enter>	Accepts the entries in a screen (as does <Enter> on the last field)
<Esc>	<F3>	Returns to the stage you were at previously, without saving any changes
<Arrow> keys		Move the cursor one field at a time

Selecting from Popup Lists

<Ctrl+P> or <Spacebar>		Popup a list of available options. The benefit of doing this is that you get help messages telling you what each option does as you move from one option to another
<Arrow> keys		Move the cursor through the options
<Page up> and <Page down>		Display any further items in the list
<Enter>	<Tab>	Selects an item in the list

Selecting from Menus

<Enter>	<Tab>	Selects the highlighted menu option
mnemonic letters and option numbers		Select their menu options
<Arrow> keys		Move the cursor through the menu options
<X> or <Esc>		Exit from the menu
