The DP4 configuration file controls many aspects of DP4 operation:
The [trmw] section, or equivalent named sections for individual programs control the appearance, size and position of DP4 program windows.
Except for the legacy 16-bit version of bit DP4, the [startup] and [preload] sections control how the DP4 service is started and what programs are run as part of the DP4 service and database manager. For further information and example configurations see Customising Startup.
Other sections are used to turn diagnostic output on or off in various programs, interface DP4 with Oracle or other OEM databases, provide localised versions of various messages, and many other purposes.
For full information on the DP4 configuration file refer to the Guide to DP4 configuration. (DFIni.chm)
